To hire a car, ute, van or truck through Abel Rent a Car, all you need is a current driver’s licence and credit card – Visa Card, Mastercard.

Driver’s licence

Drivers must hold a current open Australian, International driver’s license or overseas license with an official translation issued by the consulate if any fields on the license are not in English.

Age

Drivers of hire vehicles must be 21 years old or older and those aged 21 to 24 are restricted to the types of vehicles they can hire. All drivers under the age of 25 pay a daily age surcharge.

Payment

At the time of picking up your Abel vehicle, please have your current driver’s license and Credit Card with you.

You will require the cost of the rental plus a $250 security bond for passenger vehicles and $450 for buses/utes/vans/trucks, available on your credit card. Debit Cards ( Visa/MasterCard) have special conditions; please see T&C’s.
